Finding my way back…

It's been a minute, I know. I haven’t dropped a line since March, but I do intend to find a better groove this month. I already have a few drafts that simply aren’t good enough for you to read yet…they will be soon.

In any case, I know I’m not the only one that’s been pulled in different directions as of late, so here’s to finding our own way back.

I will be the first to admit that I stumbled into entrepreneurship.

It was kind of intentional, and I won’t pretend I haven’t made it look good…but in reality? I took a WILD guess on a leap of faith and managed to turn my corporate trauma into a valuable art form.

Now, as I sculpt the future in service and partnership with the amazing people I get to work with, I have to look back in awe because betting and behaving authentically is 100% why am and will continue to be successful in whatever I chose to pursue for myself.

If you focus on doing you, there will never be anyone who can do it like you. You know?

This world is full of people who are content to pretend. People will pretend to care, to want, to be…anything. We get so wrapped up in things that have nothing to do with us that we forget it’s okay be whoever you are however you are no matter what anyone has to say about it.

I’ve lost so many friends, fought with family, sat in full isolation knowing I made sense to me and that was all that mattered.

Is that scary? Yes. But it’s also how we grow.

Personally, I’m scared of everything, so all I had to do was add it to the list of things to get over.

You might be doing everything alone, navigating blind, pulled in all kinds of directions, distracted by the insanity in the world, dragged down by negativity or circumstances completely out of your control, but I want to tell you (and remind me) that it’s always worth trying and also… sometimes trying = crying.

Running from emotions is so normalized that we forget the purpose of polarity. You can only ever go as high as you’ve been low. How would you know success without knowing failure? Happiness without sadness? Gratitude without grief? Love without fear?

You can’t.

Entrepreneur, leader, whatever — we’re all humans, living and figuring it out as we go. Wouldn’t knowing how it all turns out ruin the fun?

Stay with me because I know it’s not easy to choose that perspective...

Full transparency (duh), ya girl has low key been getting whooped by life, like full on getting my a** beat. Everything is testing me these days but I’m the only one keeping score. So I started to think, what if I can’t lose?

Now I’m finding direction by figuring out how I want to feel. How do I want to feel when I’m creating a deliverable, leading a room, or signing new business? How do I want to feel when I’m not working, being social, trying something new or relaxing at home?

What truly makes me feel successful? Why?

I’m not worried about having it all figured out, just one step at a time toward feeling. Here’s to us each finding our own way.

TTFN — Love, Jazmyn

PS: Biased for sure, but I think I have the coolest job in the whole world and I’m so f*cking geeked for what comes next but I have no idea what it is yet so stick around people.

Rules are made up.

In the future, I’ll drop business updates, new resources and events here.
