June was a FULL month.
Full enough that I had more to say than I've had in the entire four months I've been attempting this newsletter thing. And I think I finally understand why.
I moved this weekend.
This big transition has been quietly living rent-free in my mind while I kept everything else afloat. And this weekend, it finally happened. I packed up, let go of a lot, brought new things in, and made the big move (down the street LOL).
Still, this is my first move in more than five years. For someone who used to relocate constantly, it felt extremely significant. In all that time, I got comfortable and bathed my nervous system in the safety of a ‘permanent’ residence. And no matter how many times you clean or reorganize inside a place you've been for years, you never actually have to look at everything with fresh eyes until you're forced to take it all out and decide what comes with you into the next chapter.
What You've Been Holding Onto
Going through a move forces a kind of honesty that a regular Sunday cleanup never will. You pick things up and ask: Do I actually want this, or am I just used to seeing it here? Some things you held onto because you needed them to get started. Some because you genuinely loved them. Some because they were just... there, and familiar, and it never occurred to you to question them.
Every time I get into a new space and look at what I brought with me, there's something clarifying about it. The wardrobe. The kitchen. The bathroom. The office. How do I want to set myself up here? What does this chapter actually call for?
Naturally, I can't help but take that question and apply it to everything else.
Your Pause for the Holiday Weekend
If you can carve out even a quiet moment between the family time and the friend time and the holiday time, take it. Use it to ask yourself:
What do you want to take with you into the next chapter, the next level — of your business, your relationships, your life?
What do you hope to find there, or build, or invite in along the way?
And what can you finally let go of?
You don't have to have the answers right now. The asking is enough.
On Loving the Work
In the middle of all the unpacking and the overwhelm, I had a last-minute call put on calendar for a major project. I took swift action to pull my desk together and show up ready to work.
As I was chatting with my team, I felt a sense of relaxation and reassurance wash over me. I was just... happy. It was so natural, so easy and so grounding to hop on with my team and talk about the amazing work we’re doing.
I will never stop talking about how lucky I feel to have my passion projects be my full time job because there is literal magic in pursuing your purpose and finding work you LOVE. The simple things like a short call, a silly email, or a moment of creative output, enable a healthy dose of meaning we get to express ourselves through.
I’m wired for gratitude these days, so I will continue to use these newsletter as love notes to thank you for being a part of this work in whatever way you are. For reading, for replying, for being in the room. I love what I do, and I love getting to turn it into something that might be useful for people walking a similar path.
Some of my closest relationships are with my clients. I know there's a version of advice out there that says that's a problem — don't get too close, don't blur the lines (blah blah whatever bye). The people I work with are basically my homies and will not be changing that 😉.
Landing 2026 Strong
In recent emails, I’ve talked about investment, timing, and planning for the back half of the year. You should know by now that I am a strategist who takes her own medicine. Which means I'm doing all of that same work right now, with my clients and partners in mind, inside a new space that already feels right for where I’m headed.
We’re half-way through the year, but we are not done yet. I can promise you that.
Have a wonderful holiday weekend! Rest, reset, and come back ready.
